An analysis of the present market yield levels of different bond maturities and market segments is done to find their potentials or shortfalls and it is found that intermediate and longer-term municipal-bond market are offering highest yields along with muni-bonds, the world-bond funds, emerging market bond funds would offer some extra return while money market funds are considered to offer a competitive return. However as indicated by the present yields, the returns on bonds might be in low-to-mid single digit.
