Several electronic networks are available that are of special interst to utilities. The Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI) manages EPRINET, a service that supports an electronic mail system for EPRI staff and external subscribers and enables access to technical reports and specialized news. EEI Online is offered by Edison Electric Institute (EEI), offering information about rates, regulation, legislation, and environmental topics of interest to utilities. Other databases and online services are also available, including Dialog, Dow Jones News Retrieval, Lexis/Nexis, and Westlaw, as well as Internet.
