Rainbow vision

Article Abstract:

The British Broadcasting Corp (BBC) is producing a series of news reports on environmental themes from around the world. The reporters are young people from Poland, Kenya, New Zealand, India, Colombia, Jamaica and the US. The series goal is to present young people working to improve the environment and man's relationship with it. Each reporter is profiled, with a capsule interview.

Ministry of Defence geographer

Article Abstract:

Chris Goostrey is a geographer for the British Ministry of Defence and his salary range is between 18,000 and 25,000 pounds. He holds a geography degree from London's King's College and a masters degree in engineering geology from Durham University. During the Gulf War, Goostrey worked in map procurement and remote-sensing images. During his time off, he enjoys tennis and sailing.

Everybody needs green neighbors

Article Abstract:

The One World Happy Families experiment started in Jan 1992, assisting five families in the US, United Kingdom, Japan, Norway and Germany to become more environmentally responsible. The Shaw family of the UK has made progress, reducing heating gas and water consumption, as well as garbage output. They have also served as an example for their neighbors.
