Greenhouse gas allowances: international trade barriers?

Article Abstract:

The success of the domestic trading for sulfur dioxide emissions in the US has inspired the Clinton administration to propose the use of a similar concept on an international basis. However, there are several issues that need to be addressed before an international market-based trading for greenhouse gases can be realized. These include which countries should be involved, what emissions sources and gases to include and how to monitor and enforce such a program.

Employees pull back on retirement savings

Article Abstract:

Employees showed low contribution and less involvement in reallocating their assets, by way of reacting to their retirement savings account. The decline was seen mostly among younger and low-tenure employees.
