Modelling of the dynamics of a low-speed gas-liquid heat engine

Article Abstract:

A gas-liquid heat engine running at low speeds and high torque is developed using the Minto Thermal Wheel principle wherein thermal energy is converted to mechanical work through gas expansion. The engine operates at a very low heat source to heat sink temperature difference and is capable of utilizing low temperature heat sources such as waste heat and solar energy. The engine's moving parts are minimized since the pistons common to positive displacement engines are replaced by a mass of liquid.

Bargaining Under Incomplete Information

Article Abstract:

A two-person bargaining under incomplete information model is presented. Not all mutually beneficial agreements can be attained via bargaining when incomplete information is available. Optimal bargaining strategies are developed. The rule is that the buyer and seller submit sealed bids. The buyer indicates the highest amount he or she is willing to pay and the seller the lowest acceptable price. Graphs show several bargaining positions.
