Article Abstract:

The Sony Pyxis global positioning system is a handheld navigation aid that permits the user to fix their location within 100 yards by way of satellites in the Navistar system. The Pyxis communicates with the satellites by radio and uses them to triangulate the device on the surface. It features a detachable antenna and software enhancements that allow the programming of waypoints. The unit must be programmed with the region that it will be used in, but this is not a difficult process.
