Year 2008: an electric odyssey in Cambridge, MA

Article Abstract:

A Cambridge, MA, National Planning and Design Competition Grand Prize-winning design team has planned for electric vehicles (EVs) to play a large part in the future. The design team's comprehensive approach incorporates various types of EVs into transit systems already characterized by other modes of transportation, including mass transit, biking and walking. The design team's plan included the theoretical conversion of an existing Cambridge, MA subway station and its environment to accommodate the requirements of EVs.
