ChemIntosh II

Article Abstract:

The ChemIntosh II offers convenient user commands and appropriate instructions as to their use. Also, the computer program allows the formation of a wide variety of chemical structures with facile conversion of diagrams. However, certain operations result in structures that either lack detail or definition. Moreover, the price of the program is quite high considering that when used in cheaper Macintosh units its performance is decreased.

The UNESCO Racket

Article Abstract:

The United States has vowed to withdraw from the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) at the end of 1984. UNESCO is no longer an effective organization. Its bureaucrats live extravagantly. Reform may be initiated from within, but is unlikely. UNESCO is a victim of its own corruption; other international organizations, some worthy, are suffering because of it.

Inventing a few more tomorrows

The writer recalls some authors who died at early ages, as he anticipates another 20 year or so of life for himself. He makes his forecast after adjusting for such factors as skin color, race, ancestry, good health and a good remarriage. He also recalls writers who lived long, like Thomas Mann.
