The Berlin-based company Rosch GmbH Medizintechnik has placed a contract with Photonics, a subsidiary of Jenoptik, for the development of a pain-free syringe. The deal is worth DM 13mn. The production of the syringe is to start before the end of 1999 at the subsidiary Automatisierungstechnik GmbH in Jena.

GERMANY: BREAST IMPLANTS BY NOVAMED

Article Abstract:

NovaMed AG is spending DM 25mn on setting up a production facility for breast implants in Duisburg. The new facility will produce annually 25,000 implants out of hydrogel and accommodate also R&D, sales and administration. The subsidiary of the medical technology company from Minneapolis, US, is already producing breast implants in Monheim.
