In search of experts: a conception of expertise for business ethics consultation

Article Abstract:

There has been a surprising dearth of literature on the subject of experts and expertise in business ethics despite their increasing importance to the field. Business ethics expertise is important to analyze because experts in business ethics are are routinely acting as business consultants and advisers at an impressive and expanding rate. The increasing number of people engaging in ethics consultation has led to issues regarding the certification and codes of conduct for these particular consultants.

The business ethics movement: where are we headed and what can we learn from our colleagues in bioethics?

Article Abstract:

There is considerable potential for constructive interaction between business ethics and bioethics movements, hence a critical need for systematic and precise emphasis on interdisciplinary studies to improve and share insights across the two fields. The business ethicists can learn a lot about prospects and possibilities for their field by looking at the evolution and developments in biomedical ethics, and this could help solve a lot of complex problems common to both fields.

An evaluation of journal quality: the perspective of business ethics researchers

Article Abstract:

A study was conducted to evaluate the quality of business ethics journals and provide a basis of comparison on different levels between these journals and management journals. The study, which was based on opinion surveys, was intended to fill the need of researchers within the Society for Business Ethics for information on the quality of journals on business ethics. The results and their implications for future studies are discussed.
