Trust, morality and international business

Article Abstract:

Trust in business relationships emanates from the involved parties' shared motives on survival and growth. They give high regard for companies' reputation for delivering quality services in a timely manner. However, such a relationship is difficult to foster among international businesses. For one, judgment of motives varies in different cultures. Also, as the business partner is from another part of the globe, information regarding the company's reputation would be difficult to validate. These matters should be considered in the development of a realistic international business ethics.

Soul as in ethic

Article Abstract:

Allan Cox's book 'Redefining Corporate Soul: Linking Purpose and People' considers a company's vision and mission as dependent on corporate values and that these values will guide that company to its purpose. He argues that a leader is responsible to convey his organization's values that are acceptable to every worker of that organization. For Cox, the success of an organization is dependent upon the involvement and commitment of its members.
