Beyond reparations: Justice as Indigenism

Article Abstract:

The factual predicate to the American India claim for redress is outlined and theories of justice with respect to this claim are presented and evaluated. In order to counter the shortcomings of these theories another theory called Justice as Indigenism is presented that propounds a program of land restoration and legislative reforms that will accord the full measure of relief to American Indians consistent with the requirements of justice for all the peoples.
