Choose life

Article Abstract:

The law has become an instrument in the violation of the rights of innocent human life such as euthanasia, abortion, fetal tissue transplants and embryo experimentation. Recent court decisions and legislation attest to the fact that the law has become an impediment to the preservation of the sanctity of human life. To reverse this trend, the importance of proper education is underscored. Early education on intellectual and moral virtues is necessary in the formation of a moral conscience.

Father to daughter: an inheritance

Article Abstract:

The lasting influence of a father is described. The father spent the first 18 years of his life on a Midwestern prairie and, even though he went on to live in a city and to become a corporate executive, the memories of the prairie years never left him and, indeed, they became the basis for the sense of order and piety he found in all phases of life. The mother's influence was of a social nature, while the father's influence dealt with the reasons behind the workings of the world.
