How did the Virginians ground religious rights?

Article Abstract:

James Madison circulated his pamphlet Remonstrance of 1785 throughout Virginia in resistance to a bill to raise taxes for salaries of clergymen in all the churches that would accept such aid. He presented Christian arguments for the natural right of religious liberty and the Christian language of Madison suggested that between Jacques Maritain's thesis and Walter Berns's thesis about American founding, the Maritain's thesis was correct.

Sorry mates: Reconciliation and self-determination in Australian Aboriginal health

Article Abstract:

The political relations between Aboriginal communities and government in the development of Australian Aboriginal health policy are examined. The study show that although Australian health policy today is premised on community-government partnerships, contemporary relationships are still, fundamentally, rooted and informed by Australian colonialist history with all of its attendant institutions, structures and practices.

Political liberalism and asymmetrical rights for minority comprehensive doctrines

Article Abstract:

Respect for the rights of minority religions, protection of their practices, toleration of their heterogeneity are core to the task of creating global justice and peace. Protection of liberties and freedoms of all religions will guarantee a place among the world's nation, as liberal and decent people which is not only important to the present generation but also for the generations to come.
