Kyoto: a bad treaty based on bad science will have little effect

Article Abstract:

The global warming conference in Kyoto, Japan in Dec 1997 revealed the attitude adopted by nations toward the dangers posed by global warming. The meeting illustrated how the perceived authority of science was substituted for policy through the creation of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change. This move supports the developing world's suspicion that 21st century imperialism will be cloaked in environmentalism.
