Leading the dance? Power and political resources of business lobbyists

Article Abstract:

An argument that the difficulties with power and influence concern not only the operationalisation of business-government relations, but they also reflect conceptual confusions, is presented through case studies in the United States and the European Union. It is more promising to look at resource distribution and the interdependence on both sides, instead of assuming the dominations of business power over policy outcomes, even when the business appears to lead the dance.
