Poland's return to Europe

Article Abstract:

Poland's entry into the European Union (EU) will enhance the economy of Central European countries, strengthen the EU, support the ongoing Polish reform process and grant Poland its rightful place as a member of the European family. Despite the significant success of its reform process so far, Poland is still grappling with the legacies of its communist past and feels threatened by its neighbors with unstable economic systems. Poland must persist with its reform process, despite the pains involved, and increase its integration within the Visegrad Group to hasten its progress toward becoming a member of the European Economic Community.
