Sustainable development: a new challenge for Costa Rica

Article Abstract:

The challenges of balanced development throughout Central America can be faced with increased international and regional cooperation. Costa Rica can achieve its goals of sustainable development by enhancing bilateral relationships with friendly countries. The formation of a Central American regional fund for sustainable development would enable regional nations to finance their own projects without any external interference. Increased market access to Costa Rican goods and the development of new parameters to assess advances in sustainable development will promote development.

The media and European identity

Article Abstract:

Europe is discussed as a continent united by it's differences - in currency, culture, language, religion and a history of fighting about these differences. The right to be different is celebrated by nationalistic newspapers, yet unification in culture is inevitable given the worldwide globalization process using English as the primary language of new media.
