The student movement's struggle

Article Abstract:

The youth of Iran are increasingly resentful of the country's totalitarian regime and restrictive laws. A suggestion that the Iranian student movement should collaborate with other pro-democracy movements to help bring democracy to Iran is presented.

Hong Kong's democrats stumble

Article Abstract:

Hong Kong's democrats were hoping to win a majority of sixty seats during the September 2004 Legislative Council (LegCo) elections. They could not succeed in their mission as they were not so unified or as ably coordinated as they should have been.
