World trade: putting Doha back on track

Separate deals between countries or defensive regional arrangements might be encouraged because of the failures of the Doha round of trade negotiations. Ministers may reflect on the potential damage, to Europe and America and how the Asia- Pacific could provide a way out.

The conflict in Casamance is in its twenty-second year leading to people being killed, insecurity in agriculture, trade and tourism. Factionalism, transnationalisation and the effects of other political and economic interests have hindered peace attempts.
