A random support model of the calibration of subjective probabilities

Article Abstract:

A stochastic model of the calibration of subjective probabilities based on support theory is presented which extends the support theory to the domain of calibration, the analysis of the correspondence between subjective and objective probability. The random support model predicts the form of the relationship between overconfidence and item difficulty and can account for the common finding of overconfidence.

Identity threat and antisocial behavior in organizations: the moderating effects of individual differences, aggressive modeling, and hierarchical status

Article Abstract:

An attempt is made to examine whether the experiences of identity threat predicts antisocial behavior directed towards other employees. For predicting that employees who are frequent recipients of actions that challenge or diminish their sense of competence, dignity, or self-worth will engage in higher levels of antisocial behavior, a social interactionist model is used.
