American and German students' knowledge, perceptions, and behaviors with respect to over-the-counter pain relievers

Article Abstract:

The decision making process of German and American students with regards to buying and using over-the-counter pain relievers (OTCPR) is analyzed. It was observed that more Americans take OTCPRs than Germans, and that they demonstrated less knowledge when it comes to side effects. The role of environmental factors in the differences among the students is examined.

The effects of widowhood on physical and mental health, health behaviors, and health outcomes: the women's health initiative

Article Abstract:

The impacts of widowhood on the physical and mental health, health behaviors, and health outcomes using a cross sectional and prospective design in women aged between 50 and 79 years are examined. The importance of social support and intimate attachments for mental and physical health of women is highlighted.
