An investigation of the progressive sequence of ego development levels

Article Abstract:

A study used the Washington University Sentence Completion Test (SCT) to test the progression of ego development in a sample of 229 adult subjects and compare it to component scores gathered using 12 objective tests of ego development. These component scores agreed with the three ego development stages identified by the SCT, Pre-Conformist, Conformist and Post-Conformist. Large standard deviations indicated overlap among the development levels.

Intellectual evaluations of children using human figure drawings: an empirical investigation of two methods

Article Abstract:

A study of the intellectual abilities of children using human figure drawings shows a significant correlation with the Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children Revised (WISC-R) and the Stanford-Binet Intelligence Scale. However, the more detailed Goodenough-Harris has higher correlation with Performance IQ on the WISC-R. The study examines the scoring systems of F.L. Goodenough and D.B. Harris, and E.M. Koppitz.

Casual attribution and affective response as mediated by task performance and self-acceptance

Article Abstract:

A study of 202 students showed that students receiving positive feedback perceived greater academic performance for themselves, while students who received negative feedback reported less self-acceptance of their college ability. The results provided support for the ego-serving-bias theory and the self-esteem theory.
