Assessing positive and negative changes in the aftermath of adversity: Psychometric evaluation of the changes in outlook questionnaire

Article Abstract:

The factor structure of the Changes in Outlook Questionnaire (CiOQ) and the association between positive and negative changes in outlook, posttraumatic stress, and psychological distress are examined. The positive and negative changes are found to be statistically separable while the CiOQ is found to be consistently reliable, convergent and discriminately valid and associated with posttraumatic stress and psychological distress.
