Brief report: The effects of condom insistence on the perceptions of adolescents in first time and repeated occasions of sexual intercourse

Article Abstract:

The effects of insisting on condom usage are examined by expanding the experimental conditions under which condom use occurs to include repeated sexual encounters in ongoing relationships. Participants in the condom insistence conditions reported greater feelings of positivity about themselves, their partners, and the sexual experience than the participants whose partners did not insist on condom use during sex.

Article Abstract:

The psychometric properties of a health-related quality of life (HRQOL) instrument (Vecu et Sante Percue de l'Adolescent -Malade, VSP-AM) were assessed. Adolescents receiving growth hormone therapy differed significantly from adolescents with medical, surgical or psychiatric disorders and the VSP-AM showed reliability and validity for HRQOL measurement in adolescents with growth disorders.

Brief report: Labeling effects on the perceived deleterious consequences of pop music listening

Article Abstract:

A study investigated whether perceptions of deleterious effects of pop songs on listeners might be attributable to prior labeling of those stimuli as 'problem music'. Censorship and the subsequent labeling of certain songs as 'problematic' might itself cause songs to have deleterious effects on listeners.
