Distribution and density of Callimico goeldii in the Department of Pando, Bolivia

Article Abstract:

Data on the geographic range, habitat availability, and population densities of Callimico goeldii from five census sites along with the first synthesis of distribution data for this species in Bolivia is presented. The Callimico goeldii is considered to be a near threatened species found in the western Amazon basin, from Colombia south to Bolivia and is remarkable for its high reproductive output, claw-like nails, and communal care of infants.

Resting energy metabolism of Goeldi's monkey (Callimico goeldii) is similar to that of other Callitrichids

Article Abstract:

The resting metabolism rates (RMRs) of six adult Goeldi's monkeys (Callimico goeldii) were measured using standard methods of open circuit respirometry during both the active and inactive circadian phases for this species. This circadian pattern of RMR is not a specific metabolic adaptation within the Callitrichidae.

Pattern of maternal serum corticotropin-releasing hormone concentration during pregnancy in the common marmoset (Callithrix jacchus)

Article Abstract:

The pattern of maternal serum corticotropin-releasing hormone (CRH) concentrations in nine marmosets across 11 pregnancies is examined. The marmoset may offer important information regarding the role and function of CRH during early pregnancy.
