Effectiveness of a primary care exercise referral intervention for changing physical self-perceptions over 9 months

Article Abstract:

The efficacy of a 10-week primary care referral intervention on the physical self-perceptions of people belonging to the age groups of 40-70 years is examined by assessing the participants, randomizing them to an exercise and reassessing them. Results indicated that the primary care referral program was successful in increasing the physical self-perceptions, and middle-aged and older people were more positive about their appearances and physical functioning after increasing their physical activity.
