Interactions of task and subject variables among continuous performance tests

Article Abstract:

Contemporary models of working memory that target paradigm (TP) and target density (TD) should interact as influences on error rates derived from continuous performance tests (CPTs) is evaluated empirically in a ethnically diverse sample of children. Results reveal that TP and TD interacted as influences on both omission error (OE) and commission error (CE) rates in accord with predictions based on a contemporary model of working memory.

Quantifying ADHD classroom inattentiveness, its moderators, and variability: a meta-analytic review

Article Abstract:

A meta analysis was carried out of classroom observation studies that compared classroom inattentiveness between children with attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and their typically developing (TD) peers. Results of the study confirmed that ADHD affected children were significantly more inattentive to required stimuli in the classroom compared to their peers.

Predictive validity of DSM-IV and ICD-10 criteria for ADHD and hyperkinetic disorder

Article Abstract:

The predictive validity of the two main diagnostic schemata for attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and hyperkinetic disorder (HKD) is discussed. They are presented in the most recent versions of Diagnostic and Statistical Manual-IV and International Classification of Diseases respectively.
