Frank McCulloch: asking the questions

Article Abstract:

Journalist Frank McCulloch received the first Lifetime Achievement Award at the fifth annual California Journalism Awards on Mar 4, 1999. McCulloch has been an inspiration to many reporters and editors, and gained particular respect for the way in which he revived the Sacramento Bee, which he joined in 1975. The staff at this newspaper became extremely loyal to him, and many were present when he received his award. McCulloch managed many projects which other editors may have dropped or never tackled at all.

Around 12 walkers are offered an insiders' view of key sites in the community, which has become known as 'Silicon Valley' since it started to attract many new media businesses. It covers a number of different representative businesses, and attracts both people with very little knowledge of the Internet and people with a high degree of technical knowledge.

Magnetic resonance imaging

Article Abstract:

Image quality in magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is affected by factors such as the magnitude of nuclear MR relaxation times, contrast between different tissues and strength of currents induced in the transmitting coil. Signal-to-noise ratio can be improved by using longer acquisition times and better receiver coils, altering the sequence of radio frequency pulses and increasing magnetic field strength. Coronal MR brain images using the aforementioned techniques are shown.
