Matched and mismatched interventions with young adult smokers: testing a stage theory

Article Abstract:

Research indicates that smokers who received stage-mismatched intervention had more intention of quitting smoking than those in the assesment-only group. Studies were based on 92 college smokers in the pre-contemplation stage of quitting.
