Article Abstract:

The Family History Inventory, a measure of family of origin food-related experiences, has been used to establish a model connecting family of origin experiences with maladaptive cognitions to the emergence of bulimic symptoms. It was found that there was significant overlap between adolescent perceptions of their families' treatment of food-related matters and bulimic symptomatology.
