Priming effects from phonologically related distractors in picture-word interference

Article Abstract:

This article examines the effects of exposing German subjects to distractor words immediately prior to a picture-word naming task. Findings indicate that priming subjects with phonologically related distractors has a facilitatory effect on the naming response when compared to neutral distractors.

Research examines the evaluative process in cognitive psychology, focusing on priming and selective attention studies that use strong positive or negative-associated stimuli. The fast and spontaneous evaluation of stimuli as good or bad is studied.

Interference from distractors in reach-to-grasp movements

The interference effects of non-relevant objects on reach-to-grasp movements has been investigated. The influence of different features of the distractor, such as size, position, and orientation, was studied.
