Residual outcome expectations and release in ex-smokers

Article Abstract:

A social cognitive theory, which shows the causes and effects of the cessation of smoking investigates whether and to what extent ex-smokers should be verified. It verifies the self-efficacy, the craving and the interactions between the meaning and significance of self-efficacy.

What is the right thing at the right time? Interactions between stages and processes of change among smokers who make a quit attempt

Article Abstract:

Support is claimed for the transtheoretical model notion that success in smoking cessation involves doing the right thing at the right time. The importance of the stage of change as opposed to the change process used in predicting cessation outcomes is stressed.

Attentional bias predicts outcome in smoking cessation

Article Abstract:

A study on the effects of attempts to quit smoking has shown a failure in most cases leading to a relapse in smoking and the disruption of smoking-related words. Attentional bias methods have tapped the important reason for this dependency on smoking.
