Serum lipids and their relationships with hostility and angry affect and behaviors in men

Article Abstract:

The relationship of total serum cholesterol and low-density lipoproteins to the anger-hostility-aggression is studied. A study of 98 healthy men showed that the tendency to feel and express anger when frustrated of criticized was related total serum cholesterol and low-density lipoprotein levels, also suggesting that the angry affect can be health toxic.

The influence of state and trait affect on HIV risk behaviors: a daily diary study of MSM

Article Abstract:

A daily diary study of gay men is used to study the subject's affect and sexual behavior. The diary entries reveal that a state of sexual activation was positively associated with HIV risk behavior while a state of anxious arousal had a negative effect on this behavior.
