The committee charge, framing interpersonal agreement, and consensus models of group quantitative judgment

Article Abstract:

A model called social judgment scheme was utilized to forecast group quantitative judgements. The model, which is based on member preferences and positions, revealed that post-group member confidence during decision making was greater compared to that of parallel individuals. Individuals belonging to task-oriented groups manifested the highest confidence and are more prone to practice discrimination among fellow members with regards to assessment of contributions.

"Forgive me, I'm new": three experimental demonstrations of the effects of attempts to excuse poor performance

Article Abstract:

In cases where they fail to meet performance standards, many attribute their poor performance to external factors to neutralize negative impressions. Experiments are performed to study impressions of the performance of employees who are new to their jobs.
