The influence of interdependent self-construal on procedural fairness effects

Article Abstract:

The influence of interdependent self-construal (ISC), on the effects of procedural fairness information on peoples' behavior, is studied in three different types of interpersonal encounters u social dilemma, reward allocations, and negotiations. The moderating role played by ISC between procedural fairness and various dependent variables, like cooperation, positive effect, and desire for future interaction with the other party, is examined. The theoretical implications of the findings are discussed.

Cooperation with leaders in social dilemmas: On the effects of procedural fairness and favorability in structural cooperation

Article Abstract:

A research is conducted to examine the effectiveness of leadership in influencing cooperation in social dilemmas by focusing on the procedural fairness and favorability of leaders' out come decisions. Details of the two experiments, which support the hypothesis, that leaderEs influence on cooperation would be determined by the fairness of the procedures used when received outcomes are unfavorable, are presented.

Leader self-sacrifice and leadership effectiveness: the moderating role of leader self-confidence
