Toward neuroanatomical models of analogy: a positron emission tomography study of analogical mapping

Article Abstract:

What positron emission tomography (PET) shows about the location in the brain where analogical mapping takes place is discussed. PET imagineg and the relevant cognitive neuroscience studies of reasonining indicate that the left prefrontal and inferior parietal cortices mediate such mapping.

On the reliability of implicit and explicit memory measures

Article Abstract:

The difference in the reliability of implicit and explicit memory tests is disussed. Reasons for the greater reliability of explicit memory tests are given, and this is demonstrated empirically.
