Whose problem is it anyway? Women prisoners and HIV/AIDS

Article Abstract:

This article examines the HIV/AIDS crisis facing the correctional system. The author, maintaining imprisoned women are being diagnosed as positive for HIV/AIDS at alarming rates, argues the corrective community must understand imprisoned women infected with this virus have specialized needs and must acknowledge the impact it has on the women.

Family interventions with incarcerated youth: a review of the literature

Article Abstract:

This article examines the influence of family on youth delinquency and antisocial behavior, focusing on ways to help families prevent the repeat offending of their incarcerated children. The results of a family intervention model are discussed.
