Britain's broadcast crisis

Article Abstract:

The Britain's Broadcast Corporation (BBC), one of the world's respected news organization went into worst-ever crisis and raised the fundamental issues about the nature of British journalism and its relationship with the state, where the dispute had come to a bad time for BBC and government relations that the Blair government has pursued an aggressive public relations strategy. Despite the crisis and the issues raised, the poll showed that the public still trusts the BBC more than the government.

Automated News gathering: Boon or bane to the future of journalism?

Computer revolution has started affecting the gathering of news as cyber-robots scan the news outlets in nanoseconds to present news reports from around the world to those looking for information. Google news describes an ambitious program with algorithm-driven technology to 350 editors from all over the world and according to them this program will help in organizing the world's news and making it universally accessible and useful in every language, every country and in every newspaper.

Bad news: How the falling news industry is endangering Americans

Failure to produce high-quality international coverage on a sustained basis shows some of the shortcomings of journalism. Newspapers, magazines, television, radio, wire services, online news services and book publishers should improve the factual and contextual accuracy of news from around the corner or around the world.
