Tom Bonauro: natural selections

Article Abstract:

Graphic designer Tom Bonauro has provided designs for advertising agencies. He provides singular images and conceptual ideas that advertising firms, such as Foote Cone and Belding, utilize. Bonauro also has an exhibit on display that he collaborated on with Bruce Tomb and John Randolph, two conceptual artists, as well as programmers and sound designers, called 'Gnomon'.

Saul Bass: the name behind the titles; historical view

Article Abstract:

Saul Bass is mostly remembered for title sequences, short films, and film packages, although he also did his own films and corporate identity work out of the now defunct Saul Bass Associates. His movie titles were complex creations long before computers arrived. Short portions of movies done by Bass often received raves while the film itself was unpopular.

Jennifer Morla: any way, shape, or form

Article Abstract:

Jennifer Morla enjoys her role as creative designer in her own graphic design firm. Previously she worked for Levi Strauss, the Gap, and PBS station KQED. She is designing a Web page for her firm that will imply exclusivity, since she takes very few clients. She had a retrospective at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art in summer 1998.
