Web invasion

Article Abstract:

Publishers of illustration software are increasingly inclined to accommodate the Web in their product offerings. For example, Adobe Illustrator 9.0 includes the same Save for web feature found in Photoshop 5.5. Macromedia's FreeHand 9.0 might not seem to have so much that is new in this area, but that is because FreHand 7.0 and 8.0 were already strong in Web capabilities. Meanwhile, Deneba says its Canvas 7.0 is 'seriously Web wise. Rather than focus on its Web graphics, Corel's CorelDRAW 9.0 promotes PDF, Encapsulated PostScript, Export and printing features because these are the areas in which the product has been criticized.
