Another chance to make the grade

Article Abstract:

Latest developments in the property sector in Crewe, Cheshire, include the P and O Grand Junction Retail Park, which opened in Mar 1995, and the 500,000 sq ft regional distribution centre which has been built for Gallagher near the Crewe Gates Industrial Estate. In the office sector, the largest client seeking accommodation is the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food. A small amount of speculative office development is likely to take place later in 1995.

Viewing the sites

Article Abstract:

The out-of-town office market in Warrington, Cheshire, has seen a revival recently, with take-up at around 75,000 sq ft in 1994. There are now a number of speculative office buildings nearing completion, but some observers believe that developers have not been prepared to take enough risks, having focused on buildings which could be too small and unimaginative. There is also rising demand in the industrial warehouse sector.

On board the Express bandwagon

Article Abstract:

There are currently very mixed views about the future of property development work in Paddington, especially with the Heathrow Express due to open in Dec 1997. At present, more than 4 million sq ft of office space is at various stages in the planning process, and the area offers large sites and a flexible approach to planning. It has good transport links to the west, but not to the West End or the City.
