Can retailers still drop to the shop?

Article Abstract:

Distribution operators may be required to change their operations in order to serve the growing retail market in town centres. Many of the newer warehouse have been constructed in locations to suit out-of-town shopping centres. Some observers suggest that the introduction of a home delivery service will require purpose built warehouses located near towns. Others point out that congestion on the roads will have implications for the delivery of goods from centralised areas. Large distribution centres will continue to serve major supermarkets located on the outskirts of towns.

Something to write home about

Article Abstract:

The property market in Tamworth, UK, is attracting interest both from the UK and overseas because there are currently three new big, speculatively built distribution centres available. There is optimism that the great interest in the centres can be transformed into a deal soon. Tamworth is regarded as a perfect site for a national distribution centre, and there is strong interest in other distribution properties there. There is also strong demand for manufacturing sites, both from larger firms and smaller companies.
