Workpoint cost accounting is a new method of measuring occupancy, equipment and human resources costs and other important business finances to determine the direct and indirect costs that are related to an increasingly diverse workplace. The method is ideal for business organizations veering towards new, non-traditional work precesses, organizational arrangements, and work settings. Furthermore, companies with a flat, non-hierarchical organizational structure, a mobile work force with mobile technology and a team-based organizational structure are suited for workpoint accounting.
