Some property agencies are expanding their operations into Europe and creating a network of offices which will serve local interests and make cross border deals easier. CB Hillier Parker has opened 34 offices in Africa, the Middle East and Europe whilst in its offices in Ireland and Russia it works with other firms. GVAGrimley tries to make use of local expertise in the 18 countries where it has offices. King Surge prefer to keep control of operations in other counties to ensure the standard of service. They either take over domestic firms or open up new offices.

Architect Michael Winter designed his own award winning environmentally friendly house which was completed in 1996. King Sturge Associate and Architect Martin York has started to renovate a 1824 Regency terrace house in York, Yorkshire, following two years spent on the refurbishment of his former home, a grade-II listed house in Suffolk. Knight Frank Head of the Winchester, Hampshire, office Andrew Rome plans to build a Queen Anne style house on the site of a dilapidated bungalow. The new house will be designed specifically to suit Rome who is 6ft 7in tall.

After 46 years it's time for a change

Article Abstract:

A recent survey conducted into the provisions of the Landlord and Tenant Act of 1954 resulted in a call for the act to be repealed by 51% of respondents. The results of the survey are discussed.
