Falling for the net

Article Abstract:

All the UK's leading property auction houses make use of the internet in a number of ways, including displaying lots on the web before auctions. It is also possible to bid via the internet, but payment cannot be made over the internet with a credit card, just as properties cannot be purchased with a credit card at an auction. At present, auction houses generally see the internet mainly as a means of providing information. However, internet auctions could become more firmly established once issues such as security have been addressed.
