Georgia: legacy of the Games lures industry

Article Abstract:

The visibility and attractiveness of the state of Georgia as a commercial and industrial location were captivated in the recently held Atlanta Olympic Games. Georgia's preparation for the Games also enhanced its various infrastructures which have become attractive to firms hoping for a competitive advantage in the global market. Georgia has updated its communications, information and energy infrastructure, and is updating its skills development program to protect its workforce's reputation.

South Carolina: engines primed for growth

Article Abstract:

South Carolina has enjoyed much success in attracting investments, with more than 200 international companies investing $43 billion and creating some 50,000 jobs in the state. The influx of these companies into South Carolina has been responsible for boosting the average wage in the state to $28,572, some 27% higher than the national average. The state government is now trying to spread this economic growth from the present industrial clusters to other areas, especially the rural counties.

Investors should hire Italian managers to facilitate the establishment of a business. Also, a company can take advantage of Trieste's national and regional incentives provided to foreign investors.
