Going for gold

Article Abstract:

Oxfordshire, England, is one of 13 locations which has made bids to the Sports Council to become the home of the British Academy of Sport. The British Olympic Association is backing Oxfordshire's entry and RAF Upper Heyford, formerly a US airbase, is the chosen site. RAF Heyford is close to the M40 motorway which leads to the M25 and London, and Birmingham airport is within easy reach. The former airbase is worth 65 million pounds sterling and is to be donated by the North Oxfordshire Consortium.

Talk of the town

Article Abstract:

The Prime Health deal to take a 15 year lease on office space in Guildford, England, was a shock for local agents proving that if the space is available companies are only too willing to move into the area. Improved shopping facilities and a few new office developments will continue to make the area attractive to companies wishing to relocate. Although the council hopes to discourage too much development with greater planning controls.
