Italy: taking its seat at Europe's table

Article Abstract:

Italy's unique geographic position that offers a vantage point to Europe and the Mediterranean coupled with its large manufacturing base make Italy an ideal site for firms planning to expand in Europe. The northern part of Italy considered the center of industry and technology with its large industrial base, skilled workers and population centers. For firms looking for attractive financial incentives and lower operating costs, the southern part of Italy is the recommended spot. Italy's sound business climate is due to an aggressive policy of addressing fiscal imbalances and tight budgets.
