A chance to squeeze in

Article Abstract:

Local agents in Leeds, England, point out there is an insufficient demand for more than one more multiplex cinema in the city centre although the demand for fitness centres is likely to grow. Retail rents in prime areas of city have reached 220 pounds sterling per sq ft. Rental growth has been affected by the lack of deals as supply is limited. Some of the major retailers are looking for large space in the city. Several cafe-bar operators have opened outlets in Leeds which agents suggest has caused an oversupply in the market. There are few high quality restaurants in Leeds.

A new perspective

Article Abstract:

The leisure industry in the East Midlands, England, continues to expand with the development of several new multiplex cinemas planned for the region. Many of the large cinema operators are competing for sites within the area. Previously, one multiplex cinema was considered to be adequate for a town, but increasing demand from audiences had lead to the development of additional cinemas. The new cinemas are often developed in conjunction with alternative family entertainment facilities such as bowling centres and restaurants.
